Get to Know Adriana Plascencia

Born and raised in Azusa in the San Gabriel Valley, Plascencia started her professional career selling Cutco knives to help pay for tuition at Chapman University. During her six years with the company, Plascencia opened two branch offices on summer break from school and then a district office open year-round. Plascencia then moved on and worked in admissions for a few years before finding her way into the staffing industry, specializing in Business Development for Accounting and Finance.

What attracted you to Beacon Resources?

What initially attracted me to Beacon Resources was that it was specialized and more of a boutique firm than my previous company. I knew Beacon Resources was for me during the interview process because everyone I spoke with showed they genuinely respected and cared about working collaboratively towards mutual success.

How would you describe the culture at Beacon Resources?

The culture at Beacon Resources is exceptionally team-oriented and positive. Everyone is supportive and celebrates each other’s wins. It feels great to be part of a people-first organization, and I look forward to growing this practice alongside the right people!

How will Beacon’s new Accounting Operations practice offering impact the market?

Our new Accounting Operations practice offering will further position Beacon Resources as a finance and accounting talent solutions leader. I am excited to offer our clients even better service offerings by partnering with them on the full scope of their accounting needs. I’m looking forward to Beacon Resources becoming known as a one-stop shop for staffing in the Accounting and Finance space.

What drew you to recruiting?

I am passionate about recruiting because I love helping people, and I love making genuine connections. The ability to use my excitement for sales to help connect great people with opportunities at great companies is a dream. The relationships I’ve developed with clients over the years and bringing a consultative approach to helping them with staffing solutions have been gratifying.

What do you enjoy doing in your time outside of work?

 I love to travel! I’ve been to nine different countries, with five of them being solo trips and taking weekend getaways domestically whenever I’m able to. I am very interested in learning about other cultures and languages, which is part of the reason I love to travel so much. I studied Latin in high school, speak Spanish fluently, and speak some Italian and Brazilian Portuguese.
